You're in the right place if you've never taken flamenco classes before, or it's been a looooooong time since you've been in class and you need a refresher. This whole NEW BEGINNERS section is just for you!
You have two choices:
- Start with the Intro to Flamenco Course and proceed through each course chronologically at your own pace OR
- Download the New Beginners Practice Calendars to have a “class time” three times per week.

- INTRO TO FLAMENCO You’ll start from the very beginning with a complete Intro to Flamenco, learn basic technique in 4/4 count and then apply it to a short and fun choreography in the fun rhythm of Tangos.
- INTRO TO 12 COUNT Then you’ll move on to the meat of flamenco, the 12 count rhythm. Again, you’ll learn basic technique in the 12 count rhythm (using concepts you learned in the first course) and then apply it to a short choreography in the fiery rhythm of Solea por Bulerias.
- INTRO TO FOOTWORK Finally you’ll focus on your footwork, since that is one of the most challenging elements of flamenco. Please note, you can practice any of the footwork in this section at any time when you’re learning the above choreographies.
- FLAMENCO THEORY 101 What Beginners Need to Know About Flamenco (but were never taught in the studio). This is the info every dancer needs to start your flamenco journey. Even if you’ve been dancing for some time, if you don’t know this, then you will always be stuck!! So this info is invaluable!!!
